«Access to quality education is no longer a luxury – it is a fundamental right». Mila Semeshkina’s article for Forbes

Every individual in the world has the right to a quality education that will provide them with the right start in life and professional self-realisation. This is precisely what Mila Semeshkina, CEO of the international educational platform Lectera and president of the women’s empowerment organisation The Women Empowerment Council, truly believes. In her new article for Forbes, Mila discusses how businesses can make education accessible to all individuals, regardless of their financial situation, nationality, or location.

In 2022, Microsoft and the Ministry of Education of Nigeria provided residents with access to educational digital resources, the Internet and equipment (including computers and tablets). Microsoft’s example has demonstrated that businesses can improve the welfare of society and narrow the gap between regular students and those from underprivileged families. Another way to achieve this is by providing online certificates and online learning to students in remote areas and investing in scholarships, grants, and teacher development skills to foster maximum inclusivity.

Artificial intelligence can also be used to make education more accessible. You may wonder, how exactly? Mila Semeshkina discusses this and other business opportunities in the full version of her article on the official Forbes website!

The Women’s Empowerment Council is one such organization.

In her column for Forbes, the President of the WE Council, Mila Semeshkina talks about opportunities that are open to modern women. According to Mila, the number of women in leadership positions in large companies is continuously increasing every year. Nevertheless, women continue to face gender stereotypes and inequality both in the labor market and at the workplace.

For this reason, Mila Semeshkina focuses on how to inspire and motivate women who are just starting their career and facing discrimination or social restrictions. In Mila’s opinion, young women should see successful and established business women as role models. After all, Mila says, «the stories of accomplished female leaders can serve as beacons of hope, illuminating the path for aspiring women to break free from constraints».
